Early life and education

In the spring of 1985, although his musician parents did not want Chinbaa to become a musician, his sister took him for an audition. It was the Music and Dance School then and is now known as the Mongol State Conservatory. Teachers were excited to find his talent to listen to a beat and repeat, to listen and sing back, and to name an any given pitch. Hence a 7-year-old was admitted to the one and only professional music school in Mongol, where he was educated for 12 years. He later completed his  studies as a composer with bachelor and masters degree at the National University of Arts and Culture.

Chinbaa was interested in subjects such as piano, music theory, harmony, and music litterature and those where the ones he spent the most of his time and attention. Although he was gifted and that was his advantage, he never took it for granted to sit back. He was well aware of the hard work and dedication so spent hours and hours on his favourite instrument perfecting his skills and knowledge.

He started to write music as early as elementary school. His earliest compositions, which were witnessed by his family and classmates, which were called "Walking bear" and "Horse trotting". When he turned 15, he participated in "The State Competition of Young Songwriters". His song, "Khangain duu" won him a trip to Japan.

Rock & Pop music journey

Fall of 1993. Chinbaa had a surprised visit of Bachka, the lead singer and Tsogoo, the bass player of Niciton, a Mongol rock group. They proposed to Chinbaa to join the band and that's when he started as a working musician at the age of 15.

The first five years of the band were spent purely for writing, practicing, performing to test the music, and rewriting them again. Their first success was a talent show, where the band was awarded Grand-Prix and won a million tugrug at the time. Furthermore, Mongolian Grammy equivalent Pentatonic Music Awards, The Voice of Asia International Festival put them in the center of the attention nationwide.

Niciton was disbanded in 1998 and reunited in 2016 and still performing throughout the country. Besides Niciton, his first and the biggest project was acapella girl band Emotion. He still continues his work with the longest running female band in Mongolia for the 20  plus years.
